Ti-C Lined Shot Sleeves

Our customer, a worldwide die cast machine manufacturer, and provides die cast machine production and repairs, asked that Lakeshore produce a shot sleeve with a Ti-C liner (Ti-C Lined Shot Sleeves) that insulates the molten aluminum during the shot portion of the process.

Shot sleeve construction requires an extremely accurate insert made of Ti-C alloy keeping the molten material insulated. Our customer required:

HVSC shot sleeves keep the pour hot during the docking and shot portions of the casting cycle
ID ground within a tolerance of +0.001/-0.000

Because our highest production standards, we produced higher quality castings, when previously they were having issue with porosity, and lamination. We were able to deliver a product of the highest quality in less time than our competition.
